Mulsanne blue is an iconic GM color from the early 1970s. It's namesake is the legendary high speed Mulsanne Straight near the village of Mulsanne on the 24 Hours of Le Mans auto race in France.

-RPO 976 MULSANNE BLUE. The car was repainted Mulsanne blue following bodywork completed by Ray the former owner. Painted surfaces are mirror-like, concurs show quality in durable acrylic enamel. The paint is finished with a fine cut and buff polish. No more fragile paint. Painted at 106k miles. Correct Astro tinted glass is new throughout including Pop-out rear window. New chrome front and rear bumpers and new including trim and insignia. Restored rally wheels with new chrome trim rings and caps.

1969 to 1972 are at the top end of the C-3 Corvette values right now. It’s an immaculate and well-presented example of a chrome-bumper, big-block C3 in a stunning color with no known issues. An important matter is the body style. The chrome bumper C-3 is continuing to increase in value. The 1971 models are the next-to-last of the “chrome bumper” Sharks, and as such hold a strong styling edge over the following years with the plastic bumper Corvettes. Down the road, this Classic LS5 is likely to be a reasonably safe investment because it’s a nicely preserved big-block whose engine is barely broken in. It will likely live long into the future because it’s a professionally freshly rebuilt car, done right, with papers to prove it.
